What is in a name?
When it was time to decide on a name for our new pharmacy, we paused and considered what we were trying to accomplish and how to convey that to everyone. It was not long before we had found the name that really reflected what we are all about – Pharmacy Arts.
While we are a Pharmacy and are here to assist you by filling your everyday prescriptions, we are also more – much more. A quick visit to our pharmacy will reveal our unique nature. While we have everything that most other pharmacies have – shelves with lots of medicines on them, we also have something that no other pharmacy in Scottsville has – a lab that allows us to handcraft medicines for individual needs. This handcrafting of medicine is done by our skilled pharmaceutical craftsman, Gary McGuffey. This art of handcrafting medicine is called Compounding.
